Make a standard brew tea and drink morning and evening to soothe muscular aches and pains.
Catnip
Make a standard brew tea, adding 60 ml Sage and an extra 250 ml boiling water, and drink morning and evening to give relief.
Castor oil plant
Use leaf as an external application over the painful area, eg aching feet can be wrapped in warmed castor oil leaves (dip the leaves into hot water). Apply and cover with a towel and hot water bottle or heating pad.
Myrtle
Make a strong brew of the leaves, using 4 cups leaves and flowers. Pour over this 1 litre boiling water and allow to stand and steep for an hour. Dip a cotton cloth into the tea and apply to the painful area.
Mustard
Crush a handful of mustard leaves and pour over 250 ml hot water. Apply the hot leaves to the painful area. Bind in place with a crepe bandage. Alternatively, mix 125 ml crushed mustard seeds into a paste with 125 ml wholewheat flour and a little hot water. Add 10 ml Apple cider vinegar. Spread paste onto a cloth which has been wrung out in hot water and apply as hot as possible to the area. Cover or bind in place. Repeat when necessary.
