DESCRIPTION AND PARTS USED
The milk thistle can be an annual or biennial, depending on climate. It grows naturally in dry, rocky soils in southern and western Europe and some parts of the United States. The branched stem attains a height of one to three feet and bears dark green, shiny leaves with spiny or scalloped edges that can be streaked with white along the veins.
